Rob Gronkowski Will Miss Start Of Patriots' Offseason Program

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will not attend the beginning of the team's offseason program, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Gronkowski said after the Super Bowl he was considering his options and has not committed to returning for a ninth National Football League season in 2018. Gronk is still considering whether to play in 2018, but he has reportedly had "good communication" with the team.

It is not yet known how much of the program Gronkowski will miss.

Gronk has still not committed to playing this season.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick acknowledged on Friday that not all Patriots players would be present on Monday. There yet to be any clear indication of whether Gronkowski will return to action for the 2018 campaign.

The Patriots open the voluntary portion of their offseason program on Monday. "It will be heavily attended, but I know there are a couple players that I've talked to that have other commitments, but that's the way it always is, too".

Nonetheless, it appears the drama will continue.
