The smartphone is meant for gaming, and comes with high-end specifications to make it one of the most powerful Android smartphones now available, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB of RAM and a 5.99-inch full-HD+ screen.

Overall, the Black Shark's black-and-green styling is quite similar to Razer Android smartphone, the popular gaming phone in the market. The Black Shark does not support expandable storage.

According to a recent TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Mi 6X has a 5.99 inch IPS LCD 2160 x 1080 px display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi has also announced the opening of three more smartphone plants in India - along with the company's first Surface Mount Technology (SMT) plant in Chennai that will manufacture printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) units in the country. The smartphone is equipped with an image processing chip that comes with intelligent motion compensation technology, dark scene detail processing for a smoother gaming experience. It comes in Polar Night Black and Sky Gray colour options. The Black Shark gaming phone will be available for buying in China from April 20. As an introductory offer, the first 50,000 buyers will be eligible to get the Shark Gamepad free of cost. The post confirms that the upcoming Mi 6X smartphone will be featuring a dual camera setup at the top-left corner with a 20-megapixel sensor on the front and rear sides. On the front, there is a 20MP sensor with 1.0-micron pixel size, f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. Unlike the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Xiaomi Mi 6X/A2 will have a USB type C port for charging and data syncing. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor placed at the bottom of the display.
