Sterling K. Brown plays a thief who takes his brother to the hospital during an emergency, prompting a siege from crime boss Jeff Goldblum. In Hotel Artemis, that idea is the titular hotel, which functions as a secret hospital for wounded criminals.
But when a gang (led by Black Panther's Sterling K. Brown) looking for sanctuary in Hotel Artemis after a heist brings the wrath of a big-name gangster down on the Nurse, a few of those rules are about to get broken.
Such orders include "no insulting the staff", like Dave Bautista's healthcare provider character who takes no nonsense from anyone; "no weapons allowed", meaning the arms dealer dude played by Charlie Day definitely shouldn't have loaded guns inside the Artemis; and "no killing the other patients", which proves hard for the femme fatale portrayed by Sofia Boutella, as she can hardly resist attempting murder. This is similar to the hotel from the John Wick movies, but clearly much more about patching up and healing people than providing them with more services.
Rounding out the cast are such stars as Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day and Dave Bautista.
