Mark Williams honoured his vow to turn up to his post-match media conference naked following his victory at the World Snooker Championship and promised cartwheels if he repeats the feat next year.
Williams is the oldest world champion since his fellow countryman Reardon won in 1978 at the age of 45.
Higgins had battled back from 14-7 behind to level at 15-15, making the most of his opponent's mistakes before Williams nudged ahead and then made a century break to move one frame away from victory.
All the momentum was with Higgins, who had won six of the last seven frames, and Williams desperately needed to halt the charging Scot.
'I told him I'd put his cue action under pressure and I sure did but he's unbelievable to work with, ' said Feeney.
"Where has it come from?"
"I watched it in a caravan with a beer", Williams said, typically deadpan. I thought these sort of days had passed for me.
Williams, 43, held off a sensational fightback from John Higgins to win 18-16, becoming the oldest man in 40 years to win the tournament.

During the conference, Williams referenced his second World title win, noting that he celebrated with "half a pint of milk" before going to bed early. "I'd cartwheel out there naked next year".
The final pitched two players from snooker's "class of '92", turning professional that year along with five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan. "I've been playing some unbelievable stuff this season and I felt I could have a good run here".
"I'm over the moon - what a match to be involved in", said Williams.

Williams was talked out of retirement a year ago by his wife following a slump in form that was so profound that he didn't even qualify for the Crucible.
Higgins was beaten, but he had played his part in one of the greatest Crucible finals.

"You have to expect a comeback from John Higgins, when you are 50-60 in front he is the best at coming back", Williams said at the presentation ceremony.
