Israel's military went on high alert Tuesday and bomb shelters were ordered open in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights following reports of "irregular activity of Iranian forces in Syria". It said defense systems have been deployed.
"Launches of about 20 missiles were registered at around midnight toward the frontier positions in the Golan Heights by Iran's al-Quds forces", an Israeli army spokesman told reporters.
The rockets fire struck near the border with Syria.

This is not the first reported missile strike by Israel on Syria.
