Ahmad's 11-year-old daughter, who had too many stab wounds for officers on the scene to count, was in critical but stable condition after surgery on Monday night, Tulsa police spokeswoman Jeanne MacKenzie said.

Hafza is described as having puffy hair in a ponytail wearing an ankle-length peach dress and painted gold bracelets.

An Amber Alert says Ahmad may be driving a black Lexus RX300 SUV with paper tags, a 2011 Ford Escape or a navy blue Ford sedan.

Taheera Ahmad is accused of binding and gagging her three girls, before slashing the eldest multiple times with a knife, then setting the house on fire and kidnapping the youngest, who is seven.

During the stabbing, the youngest daughter helped the middle daughter, 9, escape and the girl went to a home where their aunt lives, police said.

Hafza Hailey, 8, and her mother, Taheerah Ahmad, 39, were found in a parking lot at 300 N Main Street in Tulsa.
