The president tweeted that Disney CEO Bob Iger should apologize to Trump for past comments about him made on ABC because Iger had apologized to Valerie Jarrett, the subject of Roseanne Barr's racist tweet.

"Roseanne" had returned to United States screens in March after a 21-year hiatus with Barr's character recast as a Trump supporter in a rare depiction of working class life on the U.S. small screen.

The Oscar-winning documentarian shared a video on his Facebook and Twitter profiles showing him as a guest alongside Trump on The Roseanne Show, a short-lived talk show from the late 90s. ABC News is a division of the Disney Co. "I feel devastated, not for the end of the Roseanne show, but for all those who poured their hearts and souls into our jobs, and the audience that welcomed us into their homes", Fishman wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. She said of the Jarrett tweet, "It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting". Yes, they knew the show would be a ratings blockbuster as Barr was always a lighting rod for controversy, but did they think beyond that?
