To quell the speculation, Mrs. Trump sent out a tweet on May 30, claiming she was "feeling great" and was back to work behind the scenes at the White House.

First lady Melania Trump isn't accompanying the President to Camp David this weekend, marking the 23rd day since she was last seen publicly.

Mrs. Trump accompanied her husband to the G7 summit in Italy past year. Spouses typically get together at events of their own during the meetings of world leaders.

The first daughter looked chic as she walked the White House lawn and boarded Marine One en route to Camp David alongside Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Jared Kushner yesterday.

Melania Trump was hospitalized on May 14 - four days after he most recent public appearance - for what was reported to be a routine kidney procedure, which normally sees a patient released on the same day, according to a CNN report.

And official spokesperson Stephanie Grisham told People that Melania "has been involved in several internal meetings with staff all last week, and that continues this week". Mrs. Trump is scheduled to join the president Monday in hosting a reception, closed to the press, for Gold Star families.

Trump appears to comment on jobs report before its official release
So, 69 minutes before anybody was supposed to know what was in this morning's jobs report, Trump signaled that it would be good. On Thursday, Costco said it would raise starting wages for U.S. employees by $1, to a minimum of $14 an hour.

The president then plans to travel to Singapore for a June 12 summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

It's unclear when Trump will make a public appearance, but Grisham insisted Friday, "She is fine, she's doing great". Her prolonged absence has drawn not only a flood of conspiracy theories, but comparisons to what might have happened had any previous first lady pulled a similar disappearing act, as author Jessica Valenti wrote in The Guardian on Sunday.

Grisham told ABC News last Wednesday that the first lady was "doing really well".

On the first couple's last day in Sicily before jetting back to Washington, they stopped at the U.S. naval air base in Sigonella, Sicily, where the first lady gave brief remarks to troops prior to the President taking the podium.

"I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing", she tweeted. "They're probably just reminding her how to play well with others", wrote Carrey.
