This small reveal will happen during EA Play, EA's own livestream and demo center a few miles from the main E3 hub, some time after the conference's 11 am PST start time.

Though, what this means for the future of Titanfall is another question. According to the website, the story turns around a Padawan (a trainee Jedi, and nearly certainly the player character) who survives Order 66 (the aforementioned liquidation of the Jedi). For those of you unfamiliar with Respawn, the rights were acquired by EA for a cool $465 past year. The studio is known for its multiplayer first-person shooters "Titanfall" and "Titanfall 2".

Stay tuned to Nerdist all week long for the latest and greatest in E3 coverage. At its core, it sounds like we'll be attempting to survive and rebuild the Jedi Order but Respawn is remaining tight-lipped on what else the game is about.

Which side are we going to be playing on? He also stated that it was "pretty safe to assume" that we would see more from the series, despite the game's less than ideal sales. The game will apparently be super serious as it takes place during a really "dark time" in the history of the Jedi Order. It also brings up the possibility of an actual Star Wars canon story to go along with it - oh what fun!
