Pixel 3/ Pixel 3 XL leak with modern displays

As for the Pixel 3 XL, the renders show that the device will indeed have a notch on top of its display.

Only last week was the notch confirmed for the XL device after several phone cases emerged on Chinese e-commerce marketplace AliExpress.

The SIM card tray is placed on the bottom, which is pretty unique placement seen previously on the Oppo Find X. Unlike the Pixel 2 of a year ago, the Pixel 3 is coming with an 18:9 display without any notch.

Both devices will keep their fingerprint sensor located on the rear back panel and have multiple cameras in the front - we are not yet sure if it's to enhance security (a la FaceID) or to enhance your selfie game.

The report, which got its information from the usual "people familiar with the matter", claims that - as expected - the larger Pixel 3 XL will feature an nearly edge-to-edge display with a notch at the top. The display might also have an 18:9 aspect ratio. And if the launch of Pixel 2 series is any indication, we can expect the Pixel 3 series sometime in early October.

Judge Halves $500 Million Payout In Facebook ZeniMax Lawsuit
ZeniMax sued Oculus in May 2014, alleging that trade secrets were stolen during development of a gaming headset by Oculus. According to Oculus, out of over 42 billion lines of code used by the company, only seven lines were copied from ZeniMax.

The leaks show off the device from pretty much every angle and reinforce much of what we've seen already: glass backs, one camera on the back, and two cameras on the front. In terms of physical size, the smaller Pixel 3 will measure 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm. The renowned industry insider, Steve Hemerstoffer (also known as OnLeaks) has come up with high definition (HD) 360 degree renders of the Pixel 3 and its larger variant. Another popular trend, Google has decided not to follow and install to the smartphone a single camera, not dual. We hope Google will be adding a feature to hide the notch.

Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL: 3D Facial Recognition Likely? The Pixel 2 family was unveiled in October last year, so look out for the Pixel 3 family announcement around the same time this year.

All in all, not a lot has changed on the outside, so let's hope Google can bring a satisfying number of under-the-hood upgrades to the table. Those rumors had the larger of Google's next phones adopting a notch on its display, just like a host of other Android phones this year.

Nothing is official until Google says so.
