The celebrity chef's NY condo, which was reported to be worth $3.35 million when he bought it in 2014, was not included in the will, but the filings indicate a $1 million mortgage liability for an unspecified property.

Page Six notes that this figure is a significant difference from the "previous estimates" of its value at about $16 million.

Bourdain's will also reportedly indicates an outstanding $1 million mortgage, but doesn't specify the location of that property.

The celebrity chef's will was filed in Manhattan, New York, on Thursday - less than a month after he tragically took his own life at the age of 61 in a French hotel room - and it states that he has left his assets to 11-year-old Ariane.

Ariane's mother and Bourdain's ex-wife Ottavia Busia is the executor of his estate and legally his next of kin as their divorce was never finalized. That number includes $425,000 in "cash and savings", $250,000 in personal property, $35,000 in brokerage accounts, and $500,000 in "intangible property including royalties and residuals".

He left the same instructions for cars, furniture, books, clothing and other household items.

Ariane is Bourdain's only child. Had his daughter died before he did the money would have gone to her nanny, Myra Quizon, the will says. Bourdain's book "Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly" (2000) was a New York Times bestseller.

The docs also reveal that a guardian of the estate will be chosen by the court to keep Ariane's inheritance safe, as she is a minor.
