Lisa Murkowski is ‘annoyed’ with prejudging of Trump’s Supreme Court pick

Lois Frankel, D-Fla., brought a hanger to pen and pad talking about Kavanaugh's nomination to Supreme Court.

And Murkowski said she is not certain that Kavanaugh is "committed to overturning Roe v. Wade".

"I do not think it particularly likely that Roe (and Casey) are likely to be overturned based on this one appointment", Glenn Cohen, a professor at Harvard Law School and constitutional expert told Business Insider in June.

Nonetheless, groups like the ACLU of Alaska have demanded Kavanaugh go on the record with his position on Roe v. Wade before his confirmation vote.

The abortion advocacy group NARAL, along with Planned Parenthood and others, is claiming that President Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, could overturn Roe v. Wade.

Legal experts, however, aren't convinced that Kavanaugh's presence alone would automatically lead to the overturning of Roe and the 1992 landmark case Planned Parenthood vs. Casey, which upheld large parts of Roe and ruled that states can not impose an "undue burden" on patients seeking abortion.

But the bigger unknown is now centered around Kavanaugh's so far undisclosed position on abortion rights and the landmark Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade. "I am pro-life in terms of legislation that passes through the House, but I do think the Supreme Court has settled that issue generationally".
