OnePlus Gallery App update brings video editing tools to older OnePlus devices

These features were already on the Gallery app that was included on the latest OnePlus handset when it launched, or were added to the Gallery app via a subsequent OTA update.

The features that have been added are all available on the stock gallery application on the OnePlus 6. This update has brought in the video editing tools such as slow-motion video editing, background music, and general clipping or trimming. To edit a video, you need to tap on that pencil icon.

The old models that have received the video editing feature include OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T. This feature saw huge demand from owners of older OnePlus smartphones as well, and, listening to the customers, OnePlus rolled out the Face Unlock feature to OnePlus 3, 3T and 5. The ability to trim videos is incredibly useful, though admittedly the others aren't as much. Tthe middle option is for Snapchat-esque filters, and the music note in a box gives you a selection of background beats that sound like royalty-free music from 2012. It is providing more video editing options similar to the OnePlus 6, even if they won't be getting the new flagship's upgraded camera performance.

Interested parties should be able to pull down the update over on the Play Store, but you can also pull it down via APKMirror if you'd prefer.
