With the Battle Chest, you could purchase all previous expansions at a discount. Blizzard's long-running massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is now subscription-only.

Previously, aging expansions would roll into the Battle Chest, bundled with the purchase of the main game before the £9.99/$14.99 subscription. Considering how much content can now be access for that small monthly cost, now seems to be as good a time as ever to hop into World of Warcraft for the first time, or make a return visit if you've lapsed in your Azerothian adventures. So for you $15 each month, you get the base game content as well as The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, and Legion.

Now, World of Warcraft is trying something a bit different. Personal loot by default (an existing system that's fully replacing other famous systems like master loot) is also a huge change in that all players earn their own loot from encounters - no DKP flowchart or spreadsheet needed.

In addition to the updates, the Recruit-A-Friend (RAF) rewards have also been updated. If you're so inclined you can also go for cross-realm communities, which are basically enhanced social features that will work across all of World of Warcraft separately from guilds (integrated with the general objective launcher), on top of voice chat. If they paid for two months of game time, you can get an epic mount or pet of your choice. You can scrutinise what it added to the game here.
