Roma sporting director Monchi insists the impending exit of Alisson does not demonstrate a lack of ambition as the goalkeeper closes in on a world-record move to Liverpool.

In 37 Serie A games last season, he kept 17 clean sheets and made 107 saves, per Squawka.

The 25-year-old travelled to England on a private jet on Wednesday evening and will undergo a medical with the Reds in the next few days.
