"This total lunar eclipse will be primarily visible from the world's Eastern Hemisphere, which are Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand".
This eclipse will be the longest in this century and is expected to last for more than 100 minutes.
The Weather Channel will be live streaming the lunar eclipse on its smartphone app beginning at 4 p.m.
Australians were treated to a celestial extravaganza this morning, as a historic lunar eclipse dazzled early morning risers across the nation.
