According to rumors, Google Pixel and Nexus smartphones will be the first to receive Android P after the official launch on August 20.

Another interesting stat revealed by the listing is that the Google Pixel 3 XL will run on Android P aka Android Pistachio out of the box.

The developer preview for Android P has been out since March, and PCMag's Max Eddy says "there's a lot to like" about the new mobile OS. Interestingly, one of the few little nuggets of information which will become known on the release date is the actual name of the platform and what the "P" represents.

While the features of the Android P are out in the open, the name of the version still remains a mystery.

As mentioned above, the Beta version of the mobile operating system is already out with phones including OnePlus 6, Nokia 7 Plus and the Google Pixel among others.

Through Android Jetpack, a set of app-building tools, developers can reach users across 95% of Android devices. The adaptive battery feature is another added feature in Android P. Google has utilized artificial intelligence and the machine learning technology for this feature.

Once Android P arrives manufacturers will quickly start making the necessary changes so they can send it to owners.
