Leaked Motorola P30 renders show notch is not going away

Rumored to go official in China tomorrow, August 15, at a press event where the Moto Z3 is also expected to expand from the United States to the world's largest smartphone market, the Motorola P30 has practically become an open book after an even more detailed leak.

While numerous Chinese smartphone vendors have been blatantly copying the iPhone X design with edge-to-edge displays and a notch at the top, none have been as shameless as Motorola.

On the rear, the P30 in renders can be seen boasting the same dual camera module alignment as the iPhone X. Even the white color is appears same in renders.

AndroidPure claims to have had access to official renders of the Motorola P30, and we can not verify whether these renders are legit or not. The front selfie camera is said to be of 12-megapixel. No Moto Mods, no ultra-thin design ... just an iPhone X running Android One.

Of course, the P30 is by no means small, at 6.2 inches in diagonal, with an extra-tall 19:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution in tow. The alleged Motorola P30 listing with P30 Play and P30 Note was reportedly found on the official website as "coming soon". Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC, clubbed with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB onboard storage, it can also be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. Another teaser hints at a 5,000mAh battery, which we assume will be offered with the Motorola P30 Note model. The cameras will get some AI and AR support as well. The battery is tipped to be a 3,000mAh unit, and the OS is most likely be Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

At the moment there is no information on announcement, pricing, or availability for the Motorola P30, and its siblings. We should know more about the phones in the days to come.
