Cynthia Nixon Pins Anti-Semitic Mailer Blame on Gov. Cuomo

"ANYTHING I SAY.She's got my vote!"

"We share a progressive vision", Nixon said of the group, reprising a key campaign argument: "We can't just keep giving people something to show up and vote against, we actually have to give them something to show up and vote for".

His campaign spent about $400,000 per day during a recent three-week stretch, only slightly less than Nixon's total outlay over the same period. "As the largest infrastructure project in the nation, I think this project is of national significance".

Nixon, who has two children being raised in the Jewish faith, called the mailer "dirty, sleazy politics" and said Cuomo's explanation that he didn't know about the mailer isn't believable.

A New York State Democratic Party mailer over the weekend that implied, without basis, that Nixon was anti-Semitic, sparked a furious backlash and forced an apology, with Cuomo denying that he had anything knowledge of it. Meanwhile, emails obtained by the Journal News suggest that Cuomo was directly involved in planning the opening of the first span of the bridge.

Nixon's bid, which began with a jolt in March, seemed to bog down as the campaign entered its summer slog and Cuomo, a hardened campaigner with deep pockets, consolidated establishment support with an endorsement from Hillary Clinton during the state party convention in late May.

"Effectively marijuana in New York State has been legal for white people for a very long time, and it's time to make it legal for everybody else", Nixon says in the video.

"The idea that they would accuse me of being soft on anti-Semitism is an outrage", she told Buzzfeed's news show AM To DM on Monday.

Berman added another tweet Sunday saying his party will send out a mailer for the Nixon campaign "of their choosing" to reconcile.

The mailer says Nixon opposes funding for Jewish schools, supports "racist, xenophobic" calls to boycott Israel over its treatment of Palestinians and that she has been "silent on the rise of anti-Semitism".

On Staten Island, Cuomo sent his 87-year-old mother out on the campaign trail.
