Samsung Galaxy A9 launched with four rear cameras: Specifications, features

"We're excited to deliver on this promise and debut world-leading smartphone camera technology with the Galaxy A9".

Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 6.3-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2220 pixels.

The upper bezel of the Galaxy A9 (2018) houses a 24-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Starting from top to bottom when the phone is vertically-positioned, the first camera is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and 120-degree field of view. It is followed by 10-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. Apparently, the four-camera Samsung will feature a main sensor of 24MP, with F1.7, capable of great low-light performance. The second sensor is a 5-megapixel depth sensor, which is used in conjunction with the main sensor to create bokeh-effect images, or Live Focus as Samsung calls it, which are those fashionable shots with blurred backgrounds. That being said, look past the Galaxy A9 (2018)'s four rear cameras and you actually get a decent mid-range smartphone. Additionally it comes with 6 GB of RAM and is running Android 8.0 out of the box. Do note that you can expand that existing storage up to 512GB via microSD card slot but we are certain that it will take up a single SIM card slot. With the introduction of quad-camera setups, Samsung is also rumored to include a new cooling system that improves heat dissipation in the camera area.
