Selena Gomez is Being Treated at Mental Health Facility Following Medical Issues

Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend was reportedly released from a local Los Angeles hospital, but was readmitted days later because her blood cell count remained low, sending her into an emotional crisis.

According to TMZ, Selena is at a mental health facility for treatment after an alarmingly low white blood count after her kidney transplant made her "despondent and emotional".

Selena Gomez is seeking treatment after suffering an emotional breakdown while in hospital, PEOPLE reports.

Gomez's fans are supporting the rumored reprioritizing of her mental health.

Gomez allegedly tried to leave against doctor's orders, and even attempted to rip the IV out of her arm.

According the gossip rag, Gomez has since been transported to a psychiatric facility on the East Coast and is being treated with dialectical behavior therapy, or DBT.

After she was admitted the second time, she reportedly had "a meltdown" and "freaked out".

She announced the news on social media in September 2017, writing of Raisa on Instagram, "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my attractive friend Francia Raisa". Sources told TMZ that it was an "emotional breakdown". Another added, "I love her with my whole heart". Gomez, who has lupus, received a kidney transplant from a friend, Francia Raisa, last year.

She was previously admitted to rehab in 2014, following her Lupus diagnosis, and later said it was the 'hardest but best thing she's ever done'.

The Heart Wants What It Wants hitmaker announced on September 24 that she was taking a break from social media. Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings.
