The BMW X7 measures 5163 mm (203.3 inches) long, 1805 mm (71.1 inches) tall, and 1999 mm (78.7 inches) wide. The wheelbase is 3,105mm. The X7 stretches 5,151 mm, compared to 4,923 mm for the X5.

If you ask us, no one puts out a stronger SUV design than the big body Land Rover Range Rover.

Thanks to the leaked patent images, we exactly knew how the new X7 will look. So much so that it's the largest and heaviest vehicle that BMW has ever produced!

It won't be hard to miss the X7 on the road, thanks in part to its sheer stature and unmistakably BMW styling - in particular the overgrown kidney grille on the front end. The rear gets LED tail lamps and the design is similar to what we have seen in 5 Series and 7 Series models.

BMW initially offers the X7 with a choice of two engines paired to standard all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

It's in the same class as the Toyota LandCruiser with seven adult seats, with BMW also planning a more-luxurious six-seater that's not yet confirmed for Australia. The former features more bright chrome and silver trim finishes, while the latter adopts more gloss black trim pieces for a sportier look. You can check out our reveal articles at the top of the page for both the X5 and X7 to get specifics on features and equipment, but from a driver's perspective the smaller X5 is a dead ringer for the X7.

As standard, the BMW X7 comes with four-zone climate control, a three-section panoramic glass roof, and Vernasca leather upholstery. The Off-Road package also calibrates throttle, brake, stability control and torque split together with the height of the air suspension to traverse all types of terrain conditions easily.

Days Gone Has Been Delayed
Being developed exclusively for PS4, Days Gone has been on the burner since 2015, originally scheduled for launch this year. We think it's probably best that Sony's played it safe and given Days Gone a little more breathing room.

Driver aid systems on offer in the BMW X7 include active cruise control with a stop & go function, Drive Assist Pro with steering and lane control assistant, lane change warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assistant and side collision protection, evasion aid, crossing traffic warning, priority warning and wrong-way warning.

Wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility is included with the X7 for the first year, but it costs $80 annually to use after the initial trial period.

There is no official information regarding the X7's entry into the Indian market.

The Off-Road package is available and features its own special graphics in the instrument cluster and Control Display, as well as an extra button on the centre console for selecting four driving modes - xSnow, xSand, xGravel and xRocks.

The first ever BMW X7 is now available with seating for up to 7.

The 2019 BMW X7 pricing starts at $73,900 for the X7 xDrive40i variant while the X7 xDrive50i trim price starts at $92,600, with destination fee of $995 not included.

Aimed to compete with other flagship SUVs in the premium segment such as Lexus LX, Infiniti QX80, and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, the all-new G07 BMW X7 will also be in the shopping list of customers in the U.S. who own the Cadillac Escalade and the Lincoln Navigator.
