LaMelo Ball is back in the United States to play high school basketball at the Spire Institute, in Geneva, Ohio, and the media circus is picking up right where it left off. While the school claims he was not compensated during his time in professional leagues, that answer didn't pass the smell test for a lot of people.

Spire basketball's head coach Jermaine Jackson hyped up Ball's arrival by saying "We got the guy who can make the blind see and the cripples walk in LaMelo Ball".

For much if 2018, LaVar Ball seemed to take a backseat to his hot takes that he had been spewing on a weekly basis on every network that would invite him on.

Within a day of his announcement, digital sports content producer Overtime erected a billboard on I90 in the 17-year-old Ball's honor - but it looks familiar.
