‘Star Wars’: Pedro Pascal to Lead ‘The Mandalorian’ Series

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Pascal has joined the cast of The Mandalorian - a series which is set to be one of the major offerings of Disney's new online streaming service Disney+.

At this time, Disney has not said when this Star Wars TV series will go live, but it seems casting is underway.

The Chilean-American actor famously played the role of Oberyn "The Viper" Martell on the fourth season of HBO's Game of Thrones.

Favreau is also executive producing the show, along with Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Pascal has credits in projects like Kingsman: The Golden Circle and recently wrapped work on Wonder Woman 1984.

The Mandalorian is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, the director of Jungle Book, Iron Man as well as the upcoming reinterpretation of The Lion King.

The Mandalorian is coming exclusively on Disney+, which is expected to launch by the end of 2019. It has also been announced that Disney is now developing multiple limited series featuring characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe for their upcoming streaming service.
