Watch John Lewis' 2018 Christmas Advert Starring Elton John In Full

John Lewis" 2017 ad was titled "Moz The Monster', and hit viewers right in the festive feels when it aired last November.

There's an especially striking scene showing the flamboyant star performing at Wembley Stadium.

"Your Song" was first released almost 50 years ago and proves to be a timeless classic in the heartwarming Christmas advert that aims to spread the message that 'Sometimes a gift isn't just a gift".

John Lewis, who have a site on Futura Park in Ipswich, said that the scene was "inspired by real events" but involving "some creativity".

While some praised it and said it made them cry (presumedly in a good way) many have criticised the ad for being too much about Elton John and not enough about Christmas.

The closing line on screen as Sir Elton plays reads: "Some gifts are more than just a gift".

'It's been a lovely opportunity for me to reflect on my life in music and the incredible journey I have been on, and how first playing my Grandmother's piano marks the moment when music came into my life'.

John Lewis" flagship store on London's Oxford Street also changed its name to just "John', and shoppers were convinced they had sussed the ad out ahead of its release. For now you can view it via one of John Lewis' partners.

But there will be no plush versions of Sir Elton.
