Handling is enhanced even more by a carbon fibre shear panel in the rear underbody of the auto, which stiffens up the rear end structure. The AMG GT is then neutrally balanced.
All iterations get styling updates created to give the two-door GT a closer resemblance to the upcoming four-door GT, with particular emphasis placed on the lighting elements, rear bumper, and wheels. Lower models get round tips while the GT C sports AMG's signature square tips. As standard, the GT R Pro gets carbon ceramic brakes (an option on the GT R) and coilover suspension that features adjustability for spring preload length, alongside dampers that are adjustable for both compression and rebound rates. The front axle, meanwhile, is fitted with an adjustable torsion bar made of carbon-fibre.
Evidence of the attention to detail applied to the Pro's chassis comes with the ditching of conventional bearings in the rear upper wishbones for Uniball spherical bearings, which join the existing lower wishbone Uniballs. Inside, all AMG GT models now get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a separate 10.25-inch multimedia display integrated at the dash. It comprises of a roll-over protection system, enclosed four-point safety harnesses for driver and front passenger, and a two-kg fire extinguisher.
The limited-edition model sits above the "regular" GTR in the range rather than replacing it, and the power output from its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is identical at 577bhp. Additional modifications include a revised rear splitter and the inclusion of a Gurney flap on the giant carbon-fibre rear spoiler, as well as a new carbon fibre roof design and available racing stripes in either light green or grey, the former of which is available only on models wearing Selenite Grey Magno paint.
