Amazon Unveils 'Immutable' Quantum Ledger Database Product

In a bid to capture the Hybrid Cloud market, the company along with VMware announced "AWS Outposts" - compute and storage racks that allow customers to run compute and storage on-premises, while seamlessly connecting to the rest of AWS's broad array of services in the Cloud. CloudGuard IaaS adds contextual information such as asset tags, security groups and availability zones to dynamically update security policies and provide AWS Security Hub with visibility into threat alerts based on deep event correlation and rule-based cloud intrusion detection. As AWS is famously customer-centric, we'll take him at his word. Many applications, however, must reside on-premises due to requirements such as latency, data gravity and ownership models, and therefore have historically been excluded from offering these public cloud benefits.

It will bring VMware SDDC capabilities - compute, storage and the networking infrastructure on-premises.

Amazon Personalize provides this experience to customers in a fully managed service, which will build, train, and deploy custom, private personalisation and recommendation models for virtually any use case.

Jassy told the Re:Invent conference that Outposts were developed in response to customer demand and dissatisfaction with existing hybrid clouds.

The Managed Blockchain product appears to be a continuation on the AWS Blockchain Templates, which were introduced earlier in April. Organizations use market-leading Splunk solutions with machine learning to monitor, investigate and act on all forms of business, IT, security, and Internet of Things data.
