Motorola's 2019 "P" series phone is said be available in global markets as well, unlike its predecessor, which is limited to China.
Unfortunately, we probably won't get the P40 in Malaysia since Motorola and Lenovo had exited our local smartphone market. Rumours suggest that the Motorola P40 will come packed with a 6.2-inch display and there will be no notch on the top of the screen.
The confusingly branded Motorola P30 made quite a few (negative) headlines a few months back with its striking iPhone X resemblance, but fret not, as it seems the P40 will not mimic the design of Apple's latest flagships in such an obvious way. This is the Motorola P40, a smartphone that ticks all the boxes when it comes to best-new-trends as well as essential modern phone fitness.
Trump ready to sign executive order that would bar Huawei, ZTE purchases
Telecoms providers in rural areas of the United States are also likely to be hit hard by the executive order if it's carried out. Huawei and ZTE were cited as national security threat by a 2012 report by the US Congress.

The leaked renders of the Motorola P40 show that this will be the first Motorola phone to come with a punch hole display or in display front-facing camera like the recently launched Honor View 20, Huawei Nova 4 and Samsung Galaxy A8s. This device is speculated to be the successor to the Motorola P30 launched earlier this year. The renders show that the P40 will be an nearly bezel-less phone, and will include pretty thin bezels on the sides. The back is also where a dual-camera setup will exist, with a primary sensor that is rated at 48 megapixels.
The renders show the SIM tray to be on the left, the power and volume buttons on the right, and a USB Type-C port at the bottom on the phone, along with a microphone hole and a speaker grille. The dual shooter on the back will be in a vertical fashion, while the fingerprint scanner will have a Moto logo. The sensors are in the same housing, however, the LED flash now sits below the cameras instead of between them.
The renders also imagine Motorola keeping the headphone jack on the top of the Motorola P40.
