Authorities say a second man has been charged in the fatal drive-by shooting of a 7-year-old Houston black girl, whose death her family had initially believed was racially motivated.

Larry Woodruffe, 24, was charged Tuesday in connection with Barnes' death on December 30, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The second-grader's funeral will be held at the Community of Faith Church in Houston, Texas, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral services at noon.

Eric Black Jr., 20, was arrested Saturday in a traffic stop for not using his turn signal. While Black was charged on Sunday, authorities didn't charge Woodruffe until additional evidence had been collected. Family members described the shooter as a white man driving a red pickup, and police released a composite sketch of a white suspect based on their description.

Jazmine was remembered during her more than two-hour funeral at The Community of Faith church in Houston for a sweet spirit, her smile and as a person who always wanted to give hugs and help others.

"There was nothing to indicate that the family did anything wrong in any way", Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

Houston Texans player Deandre Hopkins dedicated his playoff check to help Jazmine's family with the funeral costs and to support the search for her killer. The suspect was apprehended after an anonymous tip passed along by journalist and activist Shaun King implicated two men identified as "LW" and "EB" in the shooting.

Black told investigators that he drove the vehicle used in the shooting while a man in the passenger seat opened fire, according to the affidavit.

Cantrell's niece, Hailey, told KTRK-TV that her family has received a plethora of death threats since activist King wrongly accused him.

But it turned out the family was mistaken; the white man they saw at the scene of the crime was a bystander who fled because he didn't want to be shot as well.

"I am grateful to everyone", she said, her arm in a sling from an injury she suffered in the shooting.

"We are still heartbroken at the thought of a seven-year-old innocent child losing her life in such a violent way", Deric Muhammad, an organizer of a rally in Houston to demand "Justice for Jazmine", said in a statement Monday.

"When Jazmine Barnes was killed I pledged to find who killed her". Lee Merritt, an attorney hired by the Barnes' family, said the family is relieved that the real killers are in custody.
