And she is expected to loudly advocate for Democratic primary campaigns against some of the middle-of-the-road members of her own party in Congress.

The 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez retweeted the 76-year-old's sentiment with a four-word rejoinder: 'New party, who dis?'

According to the NYDN, a "Democratic campaign veteran scoffed that "it's not a great look" for Ocasio-Cortez that her campaign received a fine for not carrying workers' compensation coverage".

"I'm sure Ms. Cortez means well, but there's nearly an outstanding rule: Don't attack your own people", Cleaver advised. Rank and file are peeved that there's a grassroots movement to try to win her a top committee post they feel she doesn't deserve.

"She needs to decide: Does she want to be an effective legislator or just continue being a Twitter star?" said an anonymous House Democrat in the Politico report, who said he agrees with her radical ideology.

FBI opened probe into whether Trump working for Russians
Trump's detractors have taken this statement as proof that he fired Comey out of anger over the Russian Federation investigation. The deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein, appointed Mueller soon after Comey's firing in May 2017 to lead the investigation.

Workers at GM's Oshawa plant stop work in protest over planned closure
The union has said the decision is contrary to commitments made by GM in contract negotiations with Unifor in 2016. Auto manufacturing has since declined in the city and will eventually go to zero, the central banker said.

Some lawmakers are trying to convince Ocasio-Cortez to use her influence to unite Democrats, while others have warned her that she's headed for a lonely tenure in Congress if she treats her more moderate colleagues as enemies, the report said.

In a comparison that Ocasio-Cortez would surely hate, politicos have pointed out that the NY rep. has "Trumpian" tendencies. In June, she beat Crowley and last November she was elected to Congress. Ocasio-Cortez is now part of the 116th class of Congress, which also happens to be the most diverse, with a record number of women winning seats in the House of Representatives.

Joe Lieberman once hoped to represent the future of the Democratic Party. "The so-called champion of workers, when given her own responsibility, is not following the law".

Ocasio-Cortez, the left's version of Donald Trump when it comes to social media savvy, quickly shot back an epic burn on Twitter.

"People are afraid of her", said one senior Democratic aide.
