Huge: Chelsea Dismiss Opening Barcelona Bid But Sarri Willing To Negotiate

Per the Daily Mail, Barcelona submitted a player-cash-deal worth £50m for Willian that would have seen Malcom, who they only signed last summer for £38m, head in the opposite direction.

Malcom started in the Copa del Rey 2-1 defeat to Levante on Thursday, he missed some golden chances to bring Barcelona back to the match, the La Liga Champions have reportedly received interest from China but they are yet to sanction the deal.

Additionally, the fact that the possibility of Callum Hudson-Odoi departing from the Bridge can not be ruled out only adds to Chelsea's hesitancy in letting Willian join Barcelona. The Brazilian revealed that his future is at the London club, brushing off fresh rumours that FC Barcelona wanted to try and sign him during the current transfer window. Barcelona then went ahead with Malcom.

The Catalan outfit have been long-time admirers of the tricky Brazilian, who was linked with a move to the Nou Camp in both January and summer of a year ago.

Cue the Telegraph's Jason Burt, who has detailed the two reasons why Chelsea snubbed the chance to sign Malcom, 21, and make another £10m in exchange for Willian.

Samsung Will Launch The Galaxy S10 On Feb 20 In San Francisco
Samsung has also announced that the Galaxy Unpacked event for the launch of its Galaxy S10 series is scheduled for February 20 . But a benchmark that popped up online this week seems to suggest that the S10 Lite will struggle to come close to its rival.

But, Chelsea have swiftly rejected Barcelona's offer for a couple of reasons.

Willian is in his 30's and has not been in the best of form under new manager Maurizio Sarri.

Moreover, Willian has just 18 months left on his contract.

For one, the Blues would have a direct replacement in attack for the experienced winger, with Malcom possibly being a long-term solution for them.

"My future? It's here at Chelsea", he said.
