Winter weather advisories have been issued for Davidson, Randolph, Stanly, Chatham, Rowan and Montgomery counties.
Road conditions continue to be an issue for nearly all of IL, with IDOT reporting Interstates in our area as covered with snow or ice. If the storm swings further north than expected it could include rain and sleet mixed with the snow. Temperatures will slip to the upper 20s and back to the upper 30s on Saturday. Some bands of snow could be moderate at times. Most of the snow is expected to occur between 6 o'clock this evening and 6 o'clock Saturday evening when 5 to 8 inches is expected.
