A still from Game of Thrones 8 teaser

HBO has announced that final season of Game of Thrones will premiere in April 2019. It features Sansa and Arya Stark with their half-brother Jon Snow.

The final season of HBO's beloved fantasy drama Game of Thrones is all set to return this April, after a hiatus of nearly two whole years.

In the teaser, as Jon, Arya, and Sansa are staring at the statues, something makes them turn around.

In the final seconds of the grimmest teaser so far, frost descends, extinguishing the torch in Jon's hand, which gives an inkling of an icy fate beneath Winterfell.

When will HBO reveal Game of Thrones season 8 premiere date?

In typical eerie style, the three can hear messages from dead family members Ned and Catelyn Stark as well as Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister/the mother Jon never knew. Looks like a lot of surprising twists are in store for the viewers.

Is this really "the world's most cinematic TV"? Samsung also expanded its 8K TV series with the introduction of a 98-inch model. It's from whence the TVs of tomorrow come. "This is our R9 signature OLED TV for 2019", an LG spokesperson added.

The exciting news was confirmed on Game of Thrones' social media accounts today. As the trailer comes to an end, the trio sees their statues as well, hinting that they could get killed too. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is also present for their introduction.

Jon and Arya draw their swords as they await the enemy that is never shown.

Expect to see the saga to unfold across six episodes, each over an hour long.

When we last visited Westeros, it was in a precarious position as the Night King's wight army destroyed the Wall (with their very own undead dragon) and marched freely into Westeros.

Many have noticed that while the troika was shown in the footage, their brother Bran was not there with them. Should we be more anxious about Bran or the fate of seven kingdoms?
