It seems like Grande would have been spitting regardless of who had won, because she was hoping desperately for her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died in September a year ago of a drug overdose, to take out the award. As the award was announced, Cardi's face said it all.

The Migos rapper, 27, revealed the release date of his upcoming solo album and accompanying documentary on Sunday evening, sharing a video montage of himself in the recording studio, FaceTiming with his son, performing on stage - and being in the room during the July 10 birth of daughter Kulture Kiari, his first child with wife Cardi B.

Ariana Grande has spoken in the past about how devastated she was when he died suddenly and unexpectedly; so it's no surprise to see her angry at the Grammys.

According to PEOPLE, Ms Grande was annoyed that the Grammys had invited Miller's parents to the ceremony and didn't give him the award.

Mac Miller, real name Malcolm McCormick, was 26 when he passed away at his San Fernando Valley, California, on 7 September past year, from a drug overdose. Grande commented on a post pointing this out and then once again deleted her comments where she says that his mother "was gonna have a green suit made". "Maybe I need to start smoking weed! Thank you so much".

The rapper won for her album "Invasion of Privacy". "It's because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete, like three songs that I was for sure having", she said on stage.

The 25-year-old added to another: "She's not at all and that's not what I meant and u know that".
