Kansas City Chiefs monitoring investigation involving Tyreek Hill

The team confirmed it's aware of the investigation.

The Kansas City Chiefs said Friday they are aware of the investigation.

Hill has not been charged with a crime, but is under investigation in the matter. Hill's fiance, Crystal Espinal, is identified among "others involved".

"We're in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities", the statement says.

According to that video, the first police report is dated March 5 and said child abuse and neglect as the criminal act. The Star obtained a police report from the Overland Park (Kansas) Police Department listing a juvenile as the victim, and a source told the Star the incident was against Hill's son and resulted in a broken arm.

FOX4-WDAF has reached out to the district attorney and the Chiefs for comment but has not heard back yet at this time.

He reportedly punched and choked Espinal, who was then eight weeks pregnant with their son, on December 11, 2014.

By pleading guilty, Hill avoided jail time and was given probation with a three-year deferred sentence. He was given three years of probation and ordered to undergo anger management classes. He was dismissed from Oklahoma State University's football program after the arrest.

Hill is expected to sign a contract extension with the Chiefs this offseason that could make him one of the highest paid receivers in the NFL.

Hill just completed his third season with the Chiefs, during which he amassed 1,479 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, in addition to 151 rushing yards and a touchdown, and 20 punt returns for 213 yards and another touchdown.
