The 'Full Worm Supermoon' marks the start of spring this week

This is the full moon in March and is called the Full Worm Moon. Eastern. It's the first time in two decades a full moon and the start of spring have been so close to each other. A rare super worm moon will float above Ontario tomorrow, a lunar event which marks the last super moon of 2019.

According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the March full moon will reach its peak at the spring equinox, on Wednesday, March 20.

It will be the first super moon to occur during the March equinox in 19 years, National Geographic reported.

The most recent full supermoon occurred on february 19, following one in January.

The moon will appear very bright through binoculars or a small telescope, making it hard to see any details on the moon's surface.

Spring begins at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday.

The Super Worm Equinox Moon will be the smallest of 2019's three Supermoons. It will be the first time in almost 40 years that the full moon has coincided so closely with the vernal equinox, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac.

The "Super Worm Moon" is considered a super moon, because it will appear roughly 10 percent larger than average on Wednesday night. It should stay dry through the evening, with rain possible later at night.
