He'll also be receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom, according to President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump announced that he will be giving golf superstar Tiger Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his victory at the Masters yesterday.

Woods came back from the golfing wilderness to end an 11-year majors drought with the win at Augusta, Georgia, on Sunday, earning praise from around the world.

Trump did not in his tweet specify when the ceremony will take place.

Previous recipients include Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Jesse Owens, Billie Jean King and fellow golfers Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. He added that he spoke to Tiger and told him he'd be receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom because of his comeback in both sports and "LIFE" (his caps, not mine). They've played golf together several times, including at least three outings since Trump's election in 2016.
