Absolutely", he said. "You can go through the whole beginning stretch of the season - we've had a really good stretch to the beginning of this season and unfortunately we're coming up to one of my most favorite race tracks in the world, Talladega, in a couple weeks, that can certainly end that momentum at any particular moment and knock you down off your pedestal or whatever you want to call it.

The victory was No. 20 for Truex on his career and came in his 486th start in the series. Unlike what happened a year ago at Martinsville when Logano sent Truex into the wall, Logano raced him clean.

The defending Cup Series champion was on a rail in the final laps of the Toyota Owners 400, powering around the top side of the three-quarter-mile oval and passing Clint Bowyer for second with four laps left as he looked to collect his second win of the season. I'm just really happy to get our first win with Gibbs. Just had to hold him off. "It was real important to be out front tonight, but thanks to the pit crew they kept us out there". "That part is frustrating", said Logano. "I got a decent run off of (Turn) 2 the last lap..." I slid up and I got tight and couldn't turn underneath him. Each team made it through inspection on its second attempt. "Everyone at JGR is doing a great job...we've been chipping away at it, so hopefully we can get better from here on out". He even said he wasn't going to win the race and the next thing you know he's leading.

Clint Bowyer came in third, pole victor Kevin Harvick finished fourth with Denny Hamlin completing the Top 5.

Bowyer was running second late in the race and looked to have a good chance to get his first win of the year on the waning laps but succumbed to a degrading race vehicle. "You go to the bottom and you can't get the drive to clear them and getting to the outside is pretty tough", he said.

Notre-Dame cathedral on fire in Paris
Scaffolding on the facade of the building was engulfed in flames as it and the roof of the church started to collapse. The 750-ton spire, a 19th century reproduction of the original Frstructure, collapsed through the roof of the church.

"We need to clean up some mistakes on our end", he said. "I could just roll out, and here it doesn't benefit you to wait so you just roll out and get your lap in". "And all of a sudden Joey ran us down".

Where the short tracks are concerned, Kevin Harvick and his No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing team appear to have turned a corner.

Busch is trying to win his third straight race at Richmond. Brad Keselowski dropped to eighth during the cycle and Kyle Busch, seeking his third victory in a row on the 0.75-mile, D-shaped oval, his fourth of the season and second in a row, fell back to 10th.

That gave Truex his shot.

The two have history together; Logano moved Truex on the final lap at the Playoff race in Martinsville last fall, and the move helped Logano win his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship.
