After review units for the Galaxy Fold began failing a few days after journalists received them, Samsung held off on the previously-stated release date. This, the company says, will prevent external substances from entering the device, which was the main cause for the widely reported issues faced by the Galaxy Fold.
Samsung has announced that it plans to produce more than 1 million of the Fold-range smartphones in their first year.
The tech giant's foray into foldables wouldn't be much of a surprise as Google revealed native Android support for foldable displays in November 2018, ahead of the official Samsung Galaxy Fold reveal that same month.
The comments come after Samsung earlier this week said that if it is unable to ship the Galaxy Fold by the end of the month, it would automatically cancel all customer preorders. Samsung delayed the phone's release as it investigated the matter, and recently warned U.S. buyers who pre-ordered the Fold that their orders might be canceled if the phone doesn't ship by the end of May. In an email to United States customers, Samsung confirmed that all pre-orders will be cancelled by default if the device fails to ship this month. "We've been doing it for a long time", Queiroz said in an interview to CNET. Samsung blamed the change in policy on the fact that it "cannot confirm the anticipated ship date yet". To be fair, Samsung failed to place a clear warning that the topmost layer isn't meant to be removed.
"Constance Wu appears upset at 'Fresh Off The Boat" renewal
Contrary to her earlier sentiments, Wu also said that she was "grateful" for the renewal and "proud" to be a part of the show. I understand how that could feel interconnected and could get muddled.

Fake German heiress jailed for swindling U.S. banks and hotels
She claimed her father was either a diplomat or an oil baron, and was amazingly resourceful at having others pay her way. Prosecutors pointed to her use of a stylist to pick out outfits for her trial as evidence that Sorokin lacked remorse.
And, while Samsung is in the process of fixing the Fold's defects, it does not have the luxury of time.
Breakages notwithstanding, early reviews of the device noted that its execution did not live up to its potential.
Once hailed for being the first company to launch the first commercially available folding handset, Samsung is now facing severe backlash due to the Fold's failure to deliver on its near $2000 price.
