Rick and Morty finally reveals season 4 premiere date

Adult Swim announced at the WarnerMedia upfront presentation today in New York City that the hit adult animated sci-fi comedy will launch its fourth season in November 2019.

The series' fan base - for which the descriptor "rabid" seems to have been invented - have been waiting a long time for this news, as is typical. Well, after a year and a half since the last season ended fans only have about another six months, so they're in the home stretch.

In Season 3, Rick Sanchez (Justin Roiland) is still living with his daughter Beth's (Sarah Chalke) family and causing more trouble than ever.

Rick and Morty was renewed for 70 new episodes in May, 2018, which means the series will extend for years beyond the upcoming Season 4.

Rick and Morty is back, baby. It features Rick holding one of his gizmos while Morty looks on in surprise. "We're very excited. We're working on them, they're going to be great". And, of course, Rick being Rick. Do you really want to know? "And it's much less than you'd think", he said. We have 70, he can have one.

Season 3 was comprised near-completely of standout episodes with a wide variety of tones.

So get ready for new Rick and Morty this fall. As it turns out, the wait's not going to be anywhere near as long as he let on. Will Rick become Godzilla? We suppose these things are not mutually exclusive, but at least now we know how long of a wait we have before we find out.
