Keanu Reeves' profound take on life and death leaves internet speechless. 'He could easily pick up Mjolnir,' say fans

Keanu Reeves, who is starring in the third "John Wick" movie that comes out this week, also recently announced a third installment of the "Bill and Ted" film series.

The Matrix star shook his head at his signature and was helped out by a volunteer who used a spreader to give the actor a clean slate to try again on. Reeves and Syme remained best friends until April 2001, when Syme died in a auto crash. His girlfriend Jennifer Syme delivered their child stillborn in 1999. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of a drug overdose in 1993 at the age of 23.

Keanu Reeves had an incredibly thoughtful response when asked about his thoughts on death. He is scheduled to reprise that role next year in another sequel, "Bill & Ted Face the Music".

"Right now, it's called Bill and Ted Face the Music and we're finding them however many years later, I think it's over 25".

That pressure is compounded in the film, Reeves said, when the characters find out they "have to save the universe and you have to write the song in 80 minutes".

Commenting on the incredibly high stakes of the film, host Stephen Colbert remarked, "so you're facing your own morality and the mortality of all existence". The host then asked, "What do you think happens when we die, Keanu Reeves?" - a question that elicited laughter from the studio audience.

Keanu answered with the simplest and sweetest response.

But Reeves took the question seriously, pausing for a moment before delivering this profound line, in deep and considered fashion: "I know that the ones who love us will miss us", he said.

You may watch Keanu Reeves and Stephen Colbert discuss the topic and the rest of the interview in the video player below.

Days before the release of his latest action thriller, actor Keanu Reeves will sink his hands and feet into cement today in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Do you agree that it was the flawless answer?
