Skull & Bones has been delayed and won't be present at E3 2019

Ubisoft delays Skull & Bones again and won't show it at E3 2019

"That's the type of experience we want people to have, so it's accessible and people can understand it", Justin Farren, the game's creative director at the time, told Kotaku.

The game is scheduled for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and it was originally slated for a 2018 release. The vague "after 2019/20" refers to financial periods, as opposed to calendar years, meaning the earliest Skull & Bones might now launch is April 2020.

It's entirely likely, of course, that Skull and Bones could end up releasing after that date, although Ubisoft hasn't yet provided an explanation as to why the game has been delayed for a second time.

Ubisoft's multiplayer pirate game, Skull & Bones, is delayed indefinitely and won't be at this year's E3. The game will also not be appearing at E3 2019.

You'd be forgiven if the title Skull and Bones doesn't immediately set off bells of recognition. One of those is Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The remaining three are unannounced titles that will be released in Q4 FY2020, which is between January 1st and March 31st, 2020.

Figuring out what the other three AAA titles are will be the new gripping question as we know Assassin's Creed is taking a year off. Watch Dogs 3? Splinter Cell?

Ubisoft won't be short on big game releases in the meantime though.

In contrast, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege performed as expected, growing for its third successive year.
