Tomorrow is the highest concern with severe weather with storms redeveloping in the afternoon/evening. Expect more sunshine on Wednesday and partly cloudy skies on Thursday.
After the storms move out of the area in the morning, Memorial Day will be dry with partly sunny skies and highs near 85 degrees. Highs will climb to the low 90s tomorrow. Overnight, it's partly cloudy and warm, with lows in the mid-60s to near 70.
The rain will leave us with a cool start for Tuesday. South wind around 5 miles per hour becoming calm after midnight. There will be some sun during the day, with more showers possible after 2 p.m. until about 8 p.m.
High-temperature records were broken or tied across the eastern portion of the country on Sunday and Saturday.
As a warm front approaches from the south, the potential for severe weather increases through our area, especially for this afternoon. "Between about 1 and 3 o'clock this afternoon, more showers and storms will develop in eastern Iowa and move to the east into IL".
