John Wick 3 Review: God Bless You, John Wick! Never Stop Murdering!

After John killed a recently matriculated member of the High Table on Continental grounds (see: Chapter 2), the Adjudicator's dispatched to figure out why that happened, who's to blame and, more importantly, who aided John Wick during that ill-advised grace period, which he should have never gotten in the first place.

But while we're trained by decades of franchise movies to think of film series in threes - and these three movies certainly do have a trilogy structure, as I just mentioned - "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" is certainly not the end of this thing.

This one continues right after Chapter 2 ended, with John Wick pronounced "ex-communicado" and given a 60-minute head start before the assassins of the world can then hunt him down for a US$14 million (RM58 million) bounty. Stripped of the protective services of The High Table, the global association of crime organizations that enforces the assassin's code, the ex-hitman is on a race against the clock.

The first John Wick offered blood-pumping action and thrills that built an immediate fan base with most people after only one viewing. What I enjoyed a lot more was seeing what kind of a man John Wick was without his toys, resources and weapons.

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum is in theaters now and trust me when I tell you that it's a must-see!

"[The first one] was hard because we didn't understand what we wanted to do", he said during the Reddit session. I love the sheer diversity of the set pieces in Parabellum - each brings a new and different flavor and gives you insight into the distinct elements of who John Wick is and the path he's on.

Kathua rape-murder case: Six of 7 convicted
The case led to outrage across the country in January past year , with some groups in Jammu coming out in support of the accused. The prosecution team in the case comprises JK Chopra, SS Basra and Harminder Singh.

The first film saw Wick hunting down the men who broke into his home, stole his handsome auto and killed his adorable dog.

It had been initially believed that there was only going to be three films, yet there's now talk of a fourth after Keanu said that he'll take the franchise, "As far as my legs can take me". Cinematographer Dan Laustsen's (of Crimson Peak, John Wick: Chapter 2, The Shape of Water) minimalist but sophisticated wide-frame camerawork utilizes every tool in the toolbox - dollies, cranes, Steadicams - to create a sea of nonstop carnage. Instead Wick paints the streets and walls red with faceless baddies, their mere goal to take their punishment harshly.

Along with Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), a.k.a Hobo King, a.k.a Mr. chews up every scene he's in. Reeves is no slouch to the action genre, already proving himself as Neo in THE MATRIX series. These characters that are with or against him are a big part of the experience. Though her role is marginal yet at a pivotal point of the plot, Berry's glam Sofia stuns as a former assassin who owes Wick a debt. If you sit down to watch this delightful and bone-breaking sequel thinking this is Avengers: Endgame, go find the exit.

If Bollywood manages to hire actors who can do their own stunts, they can focus on two things: camera work and editing. Reeves has gone on record saying as long as audiences want Wick, he'll keep coming back.

"For me, it's about surrounding myself with the best, most talented team out there and not ever being afraid of being the worst guy in the room", is Stahelski's frank assessment.
